A STL Type Test Certificate is issued for successfully passed type tests, which have been carried out strictly according to the regulations or directions valid at the time of testing and to STL guides.
There are two kinds of STL Type Test Certificates:
- STL Type Test Certificate of complete Type Tests
- STL Type Test Certificate of single Type Test (e.g. STL Type Test Certificate of Temperature-Rise Performance)
Dependent on the type there are two different forms of issuing:
- Cover page, technical data, list of tests carried out (recommended form)
- Cover page, technical data, list of tests carried out, all test reports of tests carried out as appendix
For these tests, the test object is clearly identified by a technical description, drawings and additional specifications.
