The test shall be performed on switching devices and their low voltage components. Condensation may occur due to sudden temperature changes on insulating surfaces with a constantly applied voltage. A particular focus is the insulation of the secondary wiring. During and after the test, the operating characteristics of the test object shall not be impaired. Auxiliary and control circuits have to withstand a test voltage of 1.5 kV for one min.
